Pneumatic conveying and dust removal for polymers
All polymer extrusion and other processes are at risk of being compromised by the presence of polluting particles, such as dust and residues generated during the extrusion and pneumatic or mechanical conveying of the raw materials. These non-compliant materials, along with the polymer, create problems that impact the quality of the final product and the smooth running of the process.
Cleaning phases
With the goal of providing integrated and customized solutions to address polymer contamination issues, APS has developed a two-stage cleaning system:
- The first pneumatic phase uses suction to separate dust and lighter particles;
- The second phase consists of mechanical separation using a rotary screening system to separate larger residues.
A system created with these characteristics allows dust to be separated and accumulated without requiring special pressure or airflow conditions.
