Granulators

Description
The granulators, along with cutters, are the high-performance foundation of our automated production waste, trim and matrix management systems. Specifically, PAC granulators are the best in the industry. Our granulator blades can process almost any material safely, efficiently and quietly. They process a wide variety of materials: films, sheets, ultra-thin PSA matrices and trims, foils, laminates, aluminum, paper, non-wovens, corrugated materials and fabrics (even carpets and automotive floor mats). These granulators boast thousands of installations worldwide.
Advantages and features
PAC granulators feature 180-degree screens with holes ranging from 0.125 to 2.0 inches in diameter. Custom sizes are also available. Throughput can exceed 200 kg/hour, depending on the screen installed. Screens can be easily removed for maintenance.
The GP78 Series in-line granulators are ideal for materials conveyed in ducts up to 10 inches in diameter, while the GP811 Series is better suited for larger volumes and sizes. They can also be equipped with rear or bottom discharge and can be installed as a new system or retrofitted to existing systems.
The granulators feature:
- Shaftless cutting chamber and open-box rotor: for free airflow and a smooth, quiet cut at constant pressure;
- Cylindrically ground rotating fly knives: our sharpening techniques ensure precision and minimized clearance. Proprietary milling processes match the fly knives to the rotor notches for secure, positive positioning and retention;
- Two- or six-knife models: AISI-D2 tool steel, optional CPM (A8) or tungsten carbide, cuts film to 0.0005″ with a controlled knife spacing of 0.00025″;
- Removable aluminum top cover: easy and safe access to the cutting chamber for maintenance;
- Angled cutter: significantly reduces noise and provides a shock-free, low-noise shear cut;
- High-precision ABEC-7 bearings: our externally sealed bearing design prevents contamination of the waste material from contact with lubricants or other substances. The world’s best ball bearings give PAC cutters the narrowest blade-to-bed clearance;
- Compact, space-saving design: a flange-mounted motor and low profile facilitate installation and eliminate the need for a separate, bulky base.
